Peel, slice and chop the fruit up into medium sized chunks.
Spoon out the cottage cheese into a bowl.
Add the chopped and sliced fruit to the bowl and serve.
Expand your baby’s taste buds by serving up different variations of cottage cheese; try cottage cheese and pineapple for a sweet treat or cottage cheese with herbs (or add you own to a tub of plain cottage cheese).
For younger babies, you can use soft fruit such as bananas and sliced grapes – they make excellent finger food for very young babies. If you're using a very hard apple, try steaming it first to soften.
Don’t forget to chop up some extra fruit for yourself for a healthy and low fat snack!
SAFETY FIRST: always chop grapes in half for babies and small children to reduce the risk of choking.
