Amanda, 40, was discharged from hospital yesterday. She was in intensive care for three days after giving birth to baby Holly last Monday.

“Despite the trauma she has been through she has never been happier and feels now her life, and her family is complete,” said a close friend of Amanda, according to The Mirror.

“It has been a tough couple of weeks but Amanda is looking forward to some quality time with the family,” the reportedly friend added.

Amanda and husband Chris Hughes, who are also mum and dad to Lexi, 6, have thanked the medical staff for her care.

“We are delighted to say that Amanda is now home," said Amanda’s agent Alison Griffin. "She and Chris would like to thank everyone who was involved in her care for their amazing skill and dedication, and also to thank everyone who send such kind thoughts and wishes during this time.”

“She is thrilled to be home with her family – Hollie is absolutely beautiful and Amanda and Chris are besotted with their girls,” said Alison.

According The Mirror, it’s unlikely Amanda will be returning to her judging role on Britain’s Got Talent any time soon as she must rest for the next few weeks. Hopefully she'll return to our TV screens during the live stages of the show in April.
