Congratulations to singer Sophie Ellis-Bexter and her husband, The Feeling bassist Richard Jones, on the birth of their third son!
They welcomed their newest arrival yesterday afternoon. Excited dad broke the news on Twitter, saying: “It’s a boy! Ray Holiday Jones was born today at 12:35 weighing 7lb 15 Mother and baby doing great. We are truly smitten. Love to u all. Rx.”
The couple, who married in 2005, are already the proud parents of sons Sonny, 8, and Kit, 3. Sophie had said earlier this week that she suspected she was having a little boy, saying: “ I’m pretty sure it’s going to be another boy. We had quite a big visual clue at one of the scans!”
We’re glad to hear mum and baby are doing well as Sophie has had complicated pregnancies in the past. Her first baby was delivered by emergency c-section after Sophie developed pre-eclampsia, and her second was born nine weeks premature.
Sophie tweeted her thanks for all the goodwill messages earlier today: ‘A big thank you from baby Ray and I for all the lovely messages. You are all very sweet and it’s much appreciated. Xx’
Congratulations from the Babyexpert team too!
