A woman in labour has given birth to a baby boy on a lifeboat after it was called out to take her from the Isle of Mull to hospital on mainland Scotland.
The boat was just entering the harbour in Argyll at about 5.30am when the baby arrived.
Patrick McLean, spokesman for the lifeboat said it was the fourth baby to be born aboard the boat but the first boy.
“Fortunately we have a crew member who is a doctor and there was a midwife on board as well,” said Patrick.
MFM mums – did you give birth in an interesting location? We’d love to hear your story!
