A survey has found that mums and dads are increasingly turning to the red carpet for inspiration when it comes to naming their babies.
Research by family history website findmypast.com found that names such as Keira, Scarlett, Ashton and Jude are now topping the baby names list, according to ITN.
It also found that in the last 100 years, the most popular names among parents were Thomas, William, James and Lily.
During their investigations, the team also discovered that in 1883 one poor tot had been given a name for every letter of the alphabet.
Ann Bertha Cecelia Diana Emily Fanny Gertrude Hypanthia Inez Jane Kate Louisa Maud Nora Ophelia Quince Rebecca Starkey Teresa Ulysses Venus Winifred Xerophes Yetty Zeus Pepper no doubt struggled a little with her signature!
Meanwhile, it seems tennis ace Roger Federer and his pregnant wife Mirka are having difficulty agreeing on a name for their little one when it arrives.
At a press conference in Monte Carlo, the sports star said: “We haven’t decided anything yet. I have no clue right now myself. Thank God we have time left to decide.”
How about Keira?
