David Beckham’s been talking about the football skills of his children – and it’s his two-year-old daughter, Harper, he’s singling out as the talent.
“Harper’s skills are coming on pretty well,” he said at the world premier for the documentary movie The Class of 92. “We’ll see if she wants to follow in my footsteps or not. She loves playing it with the boys.”
David’s three other children, Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 12 and 9-year-old Cruz, have obviously been showing Harper the footballing ropes.
“[Harper’s] got three older brothers – she’s not one of these little girls who falls over and instantly cries, because she’s used to it,” he said. “She [likes] a little bit of rough and tumble in the garden with her brothers, which is really nice.”
David’s oldest child, Brooklyn, is currently undergoing trials at Queens Park Rangers and Manchester United, but his dad’s said Brooklyn won’t be going pro quite yet. “Brooklyn isn’t close to signing anything yet,” he said. “He’s just enjoying himself. He’s playing and enjoying it, like every kid does, so that’s great.”
