Beyoncé thanks Obama for helping inspire baby Blue Ivy

Superstar mum writes letter of support on US presidential election day


The friendship between Beyoncé, husband Jay-Z and the Obamas has been well documented with the ‘Crazy in Love’ mama even joining the president on his campaign trail.


Now, on the day the American public pick their president, proud parent Beyonce has written an open letter to Obama, thanking him for being an inspiration to her daughter, Blue Ivy.

“Everyday we see your heart and character, inspiring all of us to give more of ourselves,” she gushed on her official website.

“You are the leader to take us from where we are to where we need to be. You are the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up knowing that they can truly be anything they want to be.”

Having sang Etta James’ ‘At Last’ at Obama’s inauguration ceremony in 2009, Beyoncé may be gearing up for another emotional performance this time around.

Well, either that or it’ll be a doleful rendition of The Winner Takes it All
