Dad-of-four David Beckham has revealed an embarrassing incident where his American guests thought his son Brooklyn, 12, was asking him for condoms, according to the Sun.
David, 36, explained that Brooklyn had been sketching with a pencil and called his dad over when the language muddle happened.
“Brooklyn said ‘Daddy, I need some rubber’,” said David. “I looked over at our friends from the US and they were in shock.”
Condoms are known as 'rubbers' in the US and after the reactions he got, it looks like Brooklyn won't be thanking his dad for telling the world about his mix-up.
“He now calls them erasers,” said David.
David, who is also dad to Romeo, 9, Cruz, 6 and baby Harper, 6 months, has recently decided to stay in America because his family love living there and “have adapted to the culture.” Though perhaps this incident suggests otherwise!
