Celebs donate top prizes to baby charity

Stars pledge support for Baby Lifeline with celebrity online auction

Celebrities from stage, screen, music and politics have supported a baby charity by donating ‘money can’t buy’ prizes to an online auction.

Baby Lifeline’s Be My Baby auction begins on 5th November. Prizes include a tour of the Coronation Street set, tickets to see Ricky Gervais on his UK tour, and even a champagne reception with Dame Judi Dench plus tickets to see her star in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Funds raised will help the charity to pay for lifesaving equipment for maternity and special care baby units in hospitals across the country. Dame Judi Dench, who is Vice President of Baby Lifeline, said, “I’m very proud to support Baby Lifeline. Money raised from this auction will help save a baby in a hospital near you.”

Chief Executive of the Baby Lifeline, Judy Ledger, said, “We aim to raise at least £2.5 million. Every penny generated from this auction will make a huge difference to pregnant mums and newborn babies across the country.”
