Daughters inspired by mums to diet
Survey finds girls are likely to diet if their mum is a regular slimmer

Mums who frequently diet and worry about their weight can have a big influence on their daughters’ attitude to slimming.
A new poll has found that girls are more likely to try to lose weight if they see their mums actively dieting in front of them.
A survey by Sugar Magazine asked their readers (young teenage girls) if they diet. While 15% admitted they did diet, 30% of those said they do if they see their mums trying to cut back on treats and lose weight.
The result suggests mum should be very careful about how they show their relationship with food in front of their children.
