Dead daughter could live again

Car crash victim’s parents could have daughter cloned

Frozen blood cells from Cady, 10, who was killed in a car crash, have been fused with cow eggs, to create cloned human-animal hybrid embryos.
Cady’s mum said that if a clone of Cady could ever be born, she would agree to carrying the embryos.
Fertility doctor Panayiotis Zavos developed the embryos in a test tube, but because of the use of animals in the cloning process, Dr Zavos doesn’t agree to implanting them into the mum’s womb.
In future, cells from one of these hybrid embryos could be taken and fused with a human egg.
