Drew Barrymore: my kangaroo pouch mum belly
The actress admits that after 2 children she 'feels like a kangaroo with a giant pouch'
Drew Barrymore has just become our favourite celeb mum to ever talk about her post-baby body. And no, she hasn't snapped back into shape 6 weeks after giving birth. Instead, after having 2 children she admits to feeling like a "kangaroo with a giant pouch". Thank heavens it's not just us!
Talking about her body after giving birth to 11-month-old Frankie (pictured above) and 2-year-old Olive, the refreshingly frank actress says "everything's saggy and weird" and admits it's difficult to stay positive.
"After making two babies, holy cow, does your body do some crazy stuff!"
The 40-year-old told Glamour magazine. "It’s hard to stay positive and love yourself. You feel like a kangaroo with a giant pouch; everything’s saggy and weird. But you think about how beautiful it is that you’re able to make children. When I lose sight of that, I exercise, read Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, and spend time with my kids. Then I start to see things that are bigger than myself."
Drew also commented on her candid Instagram snaps, with show her without makeup and tucking into giant piles of food. Much like these recent pictures from Tokyo then!

"You don’t always have to look stunning on Instagram. I’ve been make-up-less, pregnant, and stuffing food in my face in many pictures; that makes it all the more exciting when I do do something more attractive. I don’t like it when everyone looks so perfect all the time. Where’s the humour in that?"
We love Drew for keeping it real. How do you feel about your body after giving birth? Let us know in the comments below.
