Simon Cowell has chosen Sinitta to be godmother to his son Eric.

The 45-year-old tweeted: “At Mother's Day lunch with Mum, Magdalena, Zac, @JasonJGale @SimonCowell I was asked to be godmother.”
She tweeted alongside a photo of her cradling Simon’s son who was born on February 14.
An ex-girlfriend of the baby's father might seem like a curious choice for godmother, but Sinitta says her friendship with Simon has become stronger since he became a father.
Talking to OK! Online, she says: “It feels like a huge honour, he [Eric] is very sweet. I'm going to do a great job.”
