Clarence House has released the latest pictures of Prince William, Kate, baby George and their two pet dogs Lupo and Tilly.
The slightly fuzzy pictures were taken on a ‘point and shoot’ digital camera by Kate’s dad, Michael Middleton, in the Middleton family’s sundrenched garden in Berkshire.
The pictures show Kate in a short-sleeved knee-length fuschia dress from maternity store Seraphine. Wills keeps it casual in a buttoned down blue and white checkered shirt, jeans and a belt.
The future King of England, baby George, peacefully sleeps in Kate’s arms, wrapped up snug in a white blanket by Nottinghamshire firm G H Hurt and Son Ltd.
The couple chose not to go with a professional photographer so as to not ‘burst the happy little family bubble,’ the Daily Mail reports. But experts have criticised the pictures for being technically poor as they’re shot into the light, which washes out the background and puts the subjects into shadow.
According to celebrity photographer Brian Aris, the amateur shots are “refreshing,” he told the Daily Mail.
“Taking a professional portrait of a young baby is quite an intrusive procedure, given the lighting and strobes you would need.
“So perhaps they have had the right idea after all. It’s just a different approach and the images are rather charming.”
