Fisher-Price has issued a safety alert in the US for its Rock ‘n Play Sleeper after it has been linked to 10 reported deaths when infants roll over in the product.

US parents have been warned to discontinue use of the product when babies begin to roll over.

Amazon in the UK has removed the sleeper from its listings, but we’ve spotted it today for sale on Ebay and some other sites.

The warning was issued with the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the US, which said it was aware of 10 infant deaths nationally occurring in the Rock ‘n Play since 2015.

The deaths came after the unrestrained infants, all 3 months or older, rolled from their back to their stomach or side.

In a statement, Fisher-Price said: “We continue to work closely with the Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding the safe use of our products, including the Rock ‘n Play Sleeper. It is essential that the product warnings and instructions are always followed.”
