Ahhh, the joys of weaning! George Clooney, dad of 4-month-old twins Ella and Alexander, is just starting to discover them…
The 56-year-old Ocean’s Eleven actor candidly revealed to The Mirror that he was completely taken aback just a few days after starting his tots on purees.
All because their nappy situation had suddenly, drastically… erm, changed.
“3 days ago, my children started on what we would call solid food,” he explained to the paper. “I don’t know how it goes in as a carrot and it comes out the way it comes out.
“But it was shocking. It was shocking what has changed. It was a horror film when it comes out.
“And I think it may never go back. I think it’s going to be that way forever now, and it was terrifying.”
George’s discovery wasn’t easy, but it’s one we all have to make at some point or another.
You’re practically guaranteed to notice a serious change in your baby’s poop after adding more to their diet than just milk. It may well be multi-coloured, too, depending on what you’re feeding them ?
And George’s (very accurate) horror film analogy pretty much sums it up ?
But on a more serious note: what advice would he give to those mums and dads with the discovery yet to come?
“Don’t feed them solid food. Until they can change their own diaper, they just get milk, that would be my advice.”
We wonder if the twins’ mum, lawyer Amal Clooney, has a slightly stronger stomach ???
P.S. Official WHO guidelines say you shouldn’t start weaning until 6 months – but there are a myriad of reasons why one might start sooner.
