The Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Mothercare Christmas in July press day was a showstopper, showcasing some of the best toys and clothes for the upcoming, chilly season.

With the heavy downpour of rain it was feeling like winter already, so to be greeted with a warm cup of coffee by the press team was a little bit of heaven.

Wowed by the colourful decorations and festive songs, here’s what we think you’ll be rushing to fill your stockings with this year…

Firstly, Mothercare’s new autumn/winter range for children is miles ahead of its competitors, showing off style-savvy outfits that would have Suri Cruise eating her heart out! We instantly fell in love with the ultra comfy Navy Duffle Coat with red heart detailing. Around the £30 mark, it’s a steal for any mum who wants to keep her star snug in the rain.

A world away from summery tops and skirts was the gorgeous new Baby K range from yummy mummy Myleene Klass. Up there with the best – she’s combined comfort with standout style. Our eyes were drawn to the too-cool-for-school Boys Parka, a great coat for any on-trend tot, and at only £35 a season’s must!

(Dear Santa, can Myleene please do an adult clothing range? Love MFM)

Moving through the Christmas wonderland it wasn’t long until we were in  a sea of colouful toys. Parents take a sigh of relief…iPhones and remote controls can be dribble-free. The handy Little Electronics set, with Sky-shaped remote, sound controlled iPhone and quirky keys, gives your baby hours fun with none of the expense. At just £8, could work equally well as a stocking filler or fully-fledged gift.

Not too far in the distance was an out of this world creature waiting to say hello. The Light and Sound Activity Bot is a quirky looking toy that will keep your 3-month old happy with cheeky noises and bold buttons. Perfect for mini-explorers, he is a space cadet designed to give hours of fun.

Little princesses will jump for joy when they hear the Rosebud set has expanded. Keep tiny hands busy with the sweet looking Flower Shop, £25, or funky Farm set, £50, and it won’t be long before till they’ve built a mini town.

Lastly…

MFM’s favourite, get your funky feet moving with this fun, interactive Floor Piano. MFM found itself doing a Tom Hanks in ‘Big,’ jumping up and down playing ‘oh when the saints come marching in,’ with over-excited feet. Easy to fold away and store, it’s a guilty pleasure for adults and kids alike. The minute you step on this wonder, you will have the credit card ready. Price still to be confirmed.
