Grammy award winner Adele’s alleged due date has supposedly come and gone, as boyfriend Simon Konecki revealed back in August that she is due “so soon”. So, could Adele just be keeping mum about her baby?

Adele has got us wondering if she’s following in the footsteps of other celebrity mums choosing to buck the tendency to over-share, by keeping their baby’s arrival to themselves.

Adele has already perfected the art of keeping mum. Her baby news only surfaced on 29th June, but reportedly, the Skyfall singer was already 7-months pregnant, which would mean she was due to give birth in early September.

The singer has been very hush-hush about her pregnancy so far, and rumours have been rife that she is laying low and ‘nesting’. But could Adele’s silence be speaking volumes, like other celebs that have chosen to keep their baby news under the radar.

Actress Megan Fox revealed this week that she and hubby Brian Austin Green welcomed baby son Noah into the world on 27th September. The star didn’t announce the news until 17th October, so she managed to keep the birth under wraps for 20 days.

New mum Drew Barrymore revealed the arrival of baby daughter Olive 5 days after she gave birth, after a pregnancy she never officially announced.

True Blood stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have also been keeping quiet throughout the pregnancy and about the birth of their twins, who they welcomed at some point in early September. The couple will reportedly finally reveal, in an interview in the October issue of US Weekly, that the twins are a boy and a girl, but not the names or exact date of birth.

So, do you think Adele’s taking inspiration from the other celebrity new parents, and has popped but is keeping it quiet?

Here at MFM HQ we’re all for the early days of mum and baby bonding, but don’t keep all the cute baby pics to yourself Adele!
