Hayden Panettiere receives PND treatment for the 2nd time
The Nashville actress opens up about her struggle on Twitter

Hayden Panettiere has revealed on Twitter that she’s receiving treatment for postnatal depression (PND) for the second time after having daughter Kaya.
“Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms, I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life,” Hayden wrote in a candid post to her 726k Twitter followers. “Wish me luck!”
Fans have offered an outpouring of support, with one fellow mum tweeting: "Healing wishes to you: well done for speaking publicly about it we send you mama strength #mamastogether"
"Thanks for your honesty. Love you on Nashville and rooting for you to get through this," wrote another.
The Nashville actress welcomed her first child with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko in December 2014, a baby girl named Kaya.
She originally entered a treatment facility in 2015, speaking openly about her experience with the symptoms of PND to US daytime show Live With Kelly & Michael.
It’s not always easy to admit when you’re struggling, so we applaud Hayden for taking the necessary steps to get more professional help.
It’s also incredibly brave to speak so publicly about what she's going through, which helps to raise awareness and encourage other mums who suffer with PND to seek support.
We wish Hayden a speedy recovery.
