Heathrow security confiscate Toy Story Woody doll's gun
Child toy's 'disarmed' after being X-rayed by airport guards
Heathrow security staff confiscated the teeny-tiny toy gun from a Toy Story doll, a bemused dad has said.
The Woody doll was allegedly heading through the X-ray machine when staff decided to remove his tiny firearm, he said.
The dad uploaded a picture of the moment he said Woody was disarmed to Reddit, and said, “I have travelled the world with Toy Story’s Woody, taking pics for my son.
“At Heathrow, security just confiscated his 'weapon', keep the world safe boys…
“[The] guy didn’t notice me taking the pic.
“He was actually quite nice [and] tried to see if they would override the rule … but in the end he had to take the gun."
A spokesperson for the Department for Transport would not talk directly about Woody's disarming but said, “We do not comment on specific incidents or details of our security regime.
“Airports and airlines can use their discretion to remove any item being carried in hand luggage when they believe it may be perceived as a threat."
