Noah, age 4, cried when he wore his glasses for the first time. When his mum, Lindsey Fisher, asked him why he was upset, he said it was because he thought everyone would laugh at him.
“It was the saddest thing,” Lindsey told USA Today. “It just broke my heart.”
So Lindsey decided to show Noah just how great glasses are. She set up a Facebook page called ‘Glasses for Noah’. On it, she encourages her family and friends to post pictures of themselves wearing specs.
The request went viral – people from all over the world posted and now Noah feels much better about his glasses.
“I had no idea it would turn into what it turned into,” Lindsey said. “It was very humbling to see how the community took time out of their day to post a picture for a little boy that half of them probably don’t even know.
The page has over 43,000 likes already.
“I don’t know how many more ‘likes’ or pictures we’re going to get,” Lindsey said. “But as long as I keep getting them, I’ll keep showing them to him every night.”
Noah wears his glasses every day now. “Thank you for all the pictures!” He added.
