All toddlers have their favourite snuggle toy they refuse to go ANYWHERE without, right? More often than not it’s a cute little bear or rabbit, occasionally it’s a blanket that’s a little worse for wear from so much love.
Whatever it is, it’s the ONE thing you’d better not lose at any cost.
But how’s this for a twist on the usual comfort toy? Two-year-old Sylvie, from Boston, USA, has adopted a rather scary looking lawn owl as her regular “snuggly” – bought for her dad to put on his boat to scare birds away.
Sylvie and the gigantic owl – whose big, staring eyes would, quite frankly, give most of us the heebie-jeebies if we found ourselves in a dark room with him – have become totally and utterly inseparable.
They eat together, sleep together and little Sylvie even takes her two-legged feathery friend out in a pram. Awwwww!!!
“Most kids have a stuffed animal or blankie,” Sylvie’s uncle Pat Tobin revealed on Twitter.
“My niece has one of those plastic owls you put outside to scare away birds.”
Knowing what we know about kids here at MFM – we reckon there are probably quite a lot of little people out there who have taken on some rather strange “everywhere friends” (one of our mums admits her toddler took a fleece glove to bed for about 4 months).
