Jacqueline Jossa gives her new baby surprisingly normal name
The EastEnders actress and boyfriend Dan Osborne take their daughter home only a day after she was born
Jacqueline Jossa looks completely over the moon as she leaves hospital with her new baby and boyfriend Dan Osborne. The EastEnders actress gave birth to her daughter on Sunday and they have announced they're calling her [EastEnder's cliffhanger Doof Doof Doof moment]... Ella.
Yes, after some pretty weird celebrity baby names recently (we're thinking Genesis, Royal Reign, Buzz and Bunny), Jacqueline has chosen a lovely, but let's face it, more ordinary name.
Her TOWIE star boyfriend Dan already has 13-month-old son Teddy from his previous relationship with Megan Tomlin. And being a second-time dad, perhaps that's why he's a dab hand with that baby carrier as they headed home from the hospital.
The couple have gone for the Maxi-Cosi Pebble car seat, £150, which they covered with a baby pink blanket. Jacqueline, 22, looks amazingly fresh faced and happy in a comfy tracksuit and trainers – carrying her sheep-print hospital bag. Dan was just as casual but, despite the winter air, forgot to don his hoody; we suspect to show off those big tattooed arms of his.
"So so so so happy to tell you all!! Our baby girl Ella arrived yesterday evening," Dan tweeted yesterday. "@jacquelineMjos done SO well, proud of you. I love you."

Both Dan and Jacqueline's mum Selina were by her side for the birth. And an hour after Dan's tweet, Jacqueline finally had her hands free long enough to make her own announcement. "Baby Ella Osborne was born yesterday thankyou @DannyO and @Sarabro2 for everything. Amazing. She's perfect," she tweeted.
As the news spread, celeb friends were quick to congratulate the couple. With Dan's TOWIE co-stars leading the way. "Congratulations @jacquelineMjos & @DannyO. I bet baby Ella is beautiful," Lucy Mecklenburgh tweeted. "Massive congratulations to @DannyO & @jacquelineMjos on the birth of baby Ella. Can't wait to meet her," Lydia-Rose Bright added.
And Jacqueline's mum Selina said she's "one proud nanny" after the birth of Ella. "@DannyO @jacuelineMjos you both done a great job yesterday, I'm one proud nanny baby Ella is amazing nan and grandad jossa love you all," while Jacqueline's sister Katrina added, "Aww you did well too! She is sooo beautiful, I am a very proud auntie! Can't wait to see the little cutie again."
