Hollywood star Jessica Alba has let us all in on a little celeb mum secret. The scarves she’s often spotted sporting aren’t just stylish fashion accessories, we think they’re actually the ultimate baby ‘puke and poo stain’ hiding device.

“I wear scarves, mostly because it’s an accessory that can dress up an outfit, so you’re not just wearing jeans and a T-shirt,” admitted Jess in an interview with lilsugar.com. “But it’s also because if my baby has an accident – and I’m holding the baby – I can cover that accident up! So I’m not walking around with a big puke stain or poo stain on my shirt!”

Mum to daughters Honor, 3 and 7-month-old Haven, Jess recently announced her plans to write her first book, sharing her top parenting tips, so there’s more gems from where that came from. And just last month, 30-year-old Jess revealed that becoming a mum had made her more confident.

She added that her book will focus on finding a happy medium for mums, “I do the best I can,” Jess explained. “I make my kids organic food, but I'm not the extreme. I think a lot of people probably fall more in the category where I fall — we want the best for our families, but sometimes we feel like it's too hard and it's too unattainable to go all the way and grow a garden and do that. So where's the happy medium? The book's going to be a very simple handbook on little things you can do that add up and make a big difference."
