We may be in the middle of a hot, British summer, but that didn’t stop MFM getting into the festive spirit at the John Lewis Christmas extravaganza press show.
The press event span two days, and we were invited along to a special morning aimed totally at parents.
Met with a warm tea and a yummy scone, the press team took us on a London Underground themed journey stopping at all the crucial stations along the way.
With lots of Christmas cheer, the breakfast was a real eye-opener to the retro toys and products you and your kids will be drooling over this December.
Here’s what we found…
Alert, alert, great stocking filler! These gorgeous patterned phone covers are super-stylish and a must for any mummy about town. At only £35, these will keep your smart phone protected from any day-to-day baby disasters.
Apprentice fans will be happy to see the infamous teapot light taking a prominent position in the homeware section. We think professionals will be dying to get their hands on this much talked about product.
Get your little one into the festive mood with this adorable Sleeps to Christmas Countdown Clock. A beautiful wall piece that will make the build up to the big day all the more exciting, we can’t wait to hang one in our kitchen.
Mmmm…we were licking our lips when we saw this unique treat, a 3D gingerbread house topped with delicious icing goodness. It was all very hush-hush on the price, but we think it’s a worthy piece for any dining table this Christmas.
Little style queens will be weak at the knees when they lay their eyes on these super cute children’s Vivenne Westwood shoes. Fit for any princess, they’re a splurge buy at £52.50.
Here at MFM we fell in love with the knit your own sock puppet, a £10 treat for any Nanny to get stuck into. When finished it’s got a beautiful homey feel and is the cutest bedtime companion for any tot.
Elmo’s back and better then ever. This much-adored character is bringing musical magic into homes this winter as he chatters away, sings and bangs his drum. He’s an addictive watch and a must on our Christmas wish-list!
Lastly, no festive season would be complete without a revamped, classic toy. Say hello to the ride-in Dalek…a Doctor Who icon who is now a blow up character that little ones can drive themselves. At £195.99 it’s a lust-have rather than a must-have, but we still can’t help secretly longing for an adult version.
