Kate Hudson celebrates son’s birth by planting trees

Celebrity new mum asks friends to plant Barcham trees to mark the arrival of her baby

Actress Kate Hudson and fiancé singer Matt Bellamy have asked friends and family to celebrate the arrival of their new baby son by planting Barcham trees. Kate initially made the request at her baby shower in Malibu last month.

The 32-year-old Something Borrowed actress gave birth in Los Angeles on Saturday, and although the tot has yet to be named, the proud parents revealed the weight of their newborn, 7lbs 12 oz, in an email to friends, claims Us Weekly.

“I’m really excited. I’m not in a rush, I don’t have nerves. I’m so excited to have another baby, for our family, we are all really happy, so I can’t wait. And I’m getting to the end, so I’m like ‘Ahhh, what is it going to be, who is it, is it going to come out screaming, is it going to come out quiet, is it going to have eyes open, is it going to be shut, is it going to have hair?’” Kate said about her pregnancy and expecting a new arrival.

The new family plans to stay in London while Muse front man Matt finishes his next album, but then they will be relocating to LA.

Kate also has 7-year-old son Ryder from her previous marriage to Chris Robinson.

With recent trends of quirky celeb baby names, what do you think Kate will call her son?
