Kimberley Walsh: home birth would be 'terrifying'
Girls Aloud singer says she’s 'shocked' that home births are to be routinely recommended

Kimberley Walsh has ruled out having a home birth when she gives birth to her first child later this year.
The Girls Aloud singer, who's 6 months pregnant, said she was ‘shocked’ to hear about the new NHS guidelines that recommend a home birth, or a birth in a midwife-led unit, for most healthy pregnant women.
"The reality is, you never really know what's going to happen," she wrote in her OK! magazine column.
"It would be terrifying. For me, the risk is not worth it."
The 32-year-old may not have finalised her birthing plan yet but she says she is really enjoying her pregnancy.
"Justin [Scott, her partner] has felt the baby kick – it's always at night when [the baby] seems to come alive," she said.
