Kristen Bell 'sleep trains' her 3-year-old by locking her in her bedroom
Daughter Delta stopped sleeping about 9 months ago and Kristen says while the method might be controversial, it really does work...
Ah man, what most of our mums wouldn't do for a bit of extra shut-eye right? A few more zzzs to help you cope with the next busy day ahead ?
And even superstar celebs can arrive at near-breaking point when it comes to getting enough sleep, as mum-of-2 Kristen Bell revealed to Babble at a red carpet event recently.
“My 3-year-old decided to stop sleeping about 9 months ago," she said. And what did she and husband Dax Shepard do?
"We switched the doorknob: we turned the lock on the outside.
“I’m sorry, I know that’s controversial," she went on, adding: “We love you and will see you in the morning - but now it’s time to sleep.”
More like this
Kristen went on to say that little Delta usually calmed down in a short while, and went to sleep, and that mummy and daddy would then unlock the door after about 10 minutes.
What do you think?
So, what do you make of this one MFMers? Here on the team, one of our mums said she never actually locked her little one's door but would hold it shut from the other side if he ever attempted to escape.
Another said she'd never done this and wasn't sure if she could - though also admitted her daughter's a pretty good sleeper so she'd never actually got to this point.
And another said she'd do it in a heartbeat if it worked.
Tell us if you'd do it (or if you already have) in the comments below or over on Facebook
