LEGO House will be ripped down tomorrow!
Two-storey brick house too expensive to move
The LEGO House built entirely of 3 million plastic bricks by Top Gear’s James May will be demolished tomorrow.
The two-storey house based in the middle of Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking, Surrey, was built as part of the forthcoming BBC series James May’s Toy Stories.
The house faces the chop as the wine estate needs the land back. It had been due to move to Legoland theme park in Windsor., but this is no longer going ahead as moving costs of £50,000 make it too expensive.
The lifesize multi-coloured house includes a LEGO toilet, shower and staircase.
“Knocking it down is wrong on every level. It’s a really lovely thing,” said James May.
