Cheryl and Liam Payne have become first-time parents to a baby boy. The couple both posted a gorgeous photo on their Instagram pages showing Liam gently cradling his newborn son.
The pair revealed on Instagram that Cheryl gave birth earlier this week. “On Wednesday 22nd March, Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream,” posted Cheryl.
“Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts.
“We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival.”
In his heartfelt message, Liam opened up, “My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless… wow!
“I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.
“I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true.”
And as proud new parents, both Cheryl and Liam wanted to share a Mother’s Day message with their friends and fans.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world,” shared Cheryl. “A day that now has a different meaning to me forever.”
Liam added: “I feel very blessed. Happy Mother’s Day everyone!”
Congratulations all ?
Where did Cheryl give birth?
It’s been reported that Cheryl gave birth in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, in the £8000-a-night Kensington Wing – though the new mum hasn’t confirmed this herself.
What is Cheryl’s baby name?
There’s no news of a name yet for the little baby. “We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine,” said Liam in his announcement, echoing Cheryl.
However, both stars did reveal their preferred names for a baby boy in past interviews. Perhaps that could be a hint?
Whatever they choose, we can’t wait to find out what Baby Payne will be called ?
