Lily Allen snubs Piers Morgan’s interview invite to talk about her miscarriage sadness

...unless he agrees to donate her TV appearance fee to a charity raising money for women who've experienced miscarriage and stillbirth

With his deeply personal interviewing technique, and ability to wring tears from guests such as Cheryl Cole and Kim Marsh, it seems that the next person on Piers Morgan’s interview list is Lily Allen – well, if he can get her to agree that is!

The Life Stories presenter asked singer Lily Allen, 25, if she’d like to appear on the show and talk about her two miscarriages and open up about her personal life with her fiancé, Sam Cooper.

However, true to Lily’s style, the singer reacted on Twitter saying, “Just been asked to do Piers Morgan live stories. Ummmmmmmm,” and started off a public conversation between herself and Piers.

Lily made it clear that the only reason she’d go on Pier’s show is if the presenter agreed to donate her hefty fee to a charity of her choice. “I don’t need to enhance my career Piers, the only way I would justify coming on your show would be to give money to a charity – a charity that helps women to overcome the kind of grief that I have had to experience.”

After replying saying, “No woman should ever have to go through what you went through. Sadly, I know a few who have, and it’s heartbreaking,” Lily carried on saying that if he donated £1 million to the Stillbirth and Neonatal death charity (SANDS), she’d appear on his show, saying “those are my terms”.

After a lengthy (and public!) tweeting conversation, Lily and Piers never came to an agreement, so I guess we’ll just have to watch this space…
