Lindsay Lohan has revealed she suffered a miscarriage during the filming of her reality show Lindsay.
In a scene from the final episode of the Oprah Winfrey Network docu-series, the 27-year-old explained her miscarriage was the reason she’s missed some filming days for the project.
“No one knows this,” she said. “I had a miscarriage for those two weeks I took off.
“It’s a very long story.”
Throughout the series the Mean Girls star was often portrayed as being inconsistent when it comes to showing up for work but, in the final episode, Lindsay revealed why she wasn’t able to.
“That’s why, on the show when it says, ‘She doesn’t want to come down,’ I couldn’t move,” she said. “I was sick. Mentally, that messes with you.”
Lindsay did not reveal the identity of the father of her baby when she made her confession – or how far along she was in her pregnancy when she lost her baby.
The series follows the actress after she left rehab in July 2013 and moved to New York while trying to repair her career.
Talking now, she said: “I cried so many times watching it.
“I just know how I felt at that moment, and I can relate to that girl. Like, ‘Oh my God, this is really sad. Who’s helping her?’ … There was a lot going on in my life then.”
