Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity and The Disney Store teamed up last night for a Christmas themed event full of magic, toys and of course, Mickey!

The Christmas lights are lit, mince pies are on sale and The Disney Store has a huge selection of festive toys – Christmas has officially started. In celebration of all things Christmassy, Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity launched a huge Christmas shopping event to kick start the holiday season and raise money for GOSH.

Lots of celeb parents came along to support the event, including Tamzin Outwaite, one of the Charity’s ambassadors. Tamzin’s little girl, Florence, 3, looked delighted to be amongst the toys. Tamzin told us that while she loves being a mummy, Florence does enjoy giving her 4.30am wake up calls. Hopefully all the toy shopping tuckered her out for the night.

Peter Andre also stopped by with his daughter, Princess, 3, and son, Junior, 5. Princess looked adorable dressed up as a Disney Princess and was hugely excited about a giant soft toy she’d found on the shelves.

Junior, who was looking very snazzy as Spiderman, was keen to keep daddy Peter looking at the toys, but MFM did manage to have a quick chat and a photo op! Peter told us that he was letting the kids pick out their Christmas presents now as they’d have forgotten about them by the big day anyway. That’s good organisation, Peter!

But, let’s not forget the real reason we were there – to look at the toys! A huge amount of Christmas themed toys, blankets, mugs and teddies are on offer this year as well as DVDs, pens, stickers and dressing up sets. Beautiful ‘My First Christmas’ themed outfits caught our eye as well as Union Jack embellished Mickey Mouse gear, ready for the Olympics next year.

A life-size Mickey Mouse and Goofy were running around the store and we were more than happy to meet a life size model of Johnny Depp.

The MFM team was also quite taken with a complete box set of Disney Princess dolls, as well as the biggest Eeyore teddy we’ve ever seen. It would’ve needed his own seat in the office though, so we opted (after much deliberation!) to leave him behind.
