MFM joins M&S who is ready for a very British 2012 when it comes to clothes

Red, white and blue dominates Marks & Spencer’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 fashion collection. Quick, get learning the National Anthem…

You’ll be dreaming about the Union Jack if Marks & Spencer has anything to do with it come Spring/Summer 2012. Gorgeous red, white and blue themed separates were out in full force at the M&S press show held in London last night. Us Brits need to prepare for a 2012 filled with celebration! All that was missing was some Prince Wills and Harry masks and a cucumber sandwich.

The Autograph collection perfectly captures a traditional British feel – boys can go all Olly Murs with tailored jackets, bow ties and red jeans. Girls will adore the touches of glitter on Peter Pan collars as well as eye-catching corsages in our country’s colours. Bold pinks, greens and yellows thread through the Limited Collection, as well as some key tribal prints in the denim based Indigo range.

As always, Marks & Spencer’s baby wear has been tried and tested with mums and tots in mind. Swimwear comes complete with UV protection and buttons have been pulled and pulled some more to ensure little fingers can’t get them off.

We’re all feeling quite patriotic now so we think we’ll call that Pimms o’clock. Shades at the ready!
