Quinny to release bold new buggy by the end of 2011 – first pic

The Quinny Moodd is one striking pushchair, and while we can’t tell you too much, the buggy specs we do know of sound very promising...oh, and we have a video of it!

Update 16 September 2011 Just seen this at the Cologne Nursery Trade Fair and it certainly looks amazing. The white chassis version with a bright pink seat is a real head-turner and looks like nothing else you’ve seen. More info coming soon…

Quinny – the buggy brand that gave us the Zapp, Zapp Xtra, Buzz, Senzz and Speedi – has a new buggy (or two) in the pipeline. Called the Quinny Moodd, we’ve been told it will be Quinny’s first premium priced pushchair. Yes, that may mean it’s not going to work for all budgets, but for those saving up for a buggy with bold looks and fab-sounding features, the Moodd is one to keep on your radar.

Details about the Moodd have been kept rather hush-hush, but we do know it’s due out around the end of the year. We also know it will be travel system compatible with Maxi-Cosi car seats. This new Quinny pushchair will be suitable from birth, with a lie-flat recline, though we hear a brand new foldable Quinny carrycot will also be available as an optional extra.

In terms of looks, the Moodd will come in either a white or black chassis, and colourways could include Purple Power, Natural Delight, Pink Passion, Red Revolution, Black Devotion and Blue Reliance.
We have a sneak peek of the Quinny Moodd in action – you’ll notice the video stars another yet-to-be-released Quinny buggy, the Yezz. All Quinny can be coaxed into revealing is it’ll be lightweight and possibly out in the new year.

Excited? We are, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the new Quinny offerings to road test them in the real world! Stay tuned…
