Rebecca Adlington on how she REALLY feels about her 'kangaroo pouch tummy'
The ex-Olympic swimmer says she loves her post-baby body, kangaroo pouch and all
Olympic champion Rebecca Adlington loves her post-baby body and isn’t afraid to say it.
The 27-year-old swimming star, who gave birth to baby girl Summer in June 2015, recently shared that she hasn’t snapped back into pre-baby shape, and that she’s okay with it.
“I still have my kangaroo pouch on my tummy,” Rebecca told The Mirror.
“I definitely haven’t got my body back since pregnancy,” she admitted. "But I just want to be a fit, healthy and active hands-on mum who takes my daughter swimming.”
“I don’t know if I’ll ever lose it, but to be honest I don’t mind and I’m not precious. I think it just shows that I have had a healthy baby.”

We love Rebecca’s body-positive, health-conscious message, and encouraging new mums to feel good about their figures is something we’re all for.
Especially since Rebecca has unfairly been picked on for her looks by online trolls in the past. It’s nice to see that parenthood has given her a confidence boost.
But it’s important to remember that everyone’s circumstances are different and the size of our kangaroo pouches are all relative, and that Rebecca’s job as a swimmer and TV presenter requires her to maintain a certain level of fitness.
