With 89% admitting that their biggest spend is on stretch mark oils and creams, mums-to-be own at least two bottles worth around £52. That makes 249, 200, 000ml of stretch mark ointment.  With 50% of mums admitting to hating their stretch marks, we can’t say we’re surprised!

Other popular pregnancy purchases include vitamins, iron supplements and folic acid.

The poll also revealed that style conscious expectant mums treat themselves to £250 worth of maternity clothes, with at least 10 new outfits to add to their wardrobe.
