Ah, well here's a little tale to warm the cockles this Tuesday morning. Serena Williams has shared a mega sweet message to her unborn baby on her Instagram page (and you can stop with the "but unborn babies can't read" - it's lovely regardless!).

Alongside a radiant, sun-drenched pic of her cradling her bump, Serena wrote:

"My Dearest Baby,
You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can't wait to meet you. I can't wait for you to join the players box next year.

"But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you.... once again today. On @alexisohanian bday. ? from the world's oldest number one to the world's youngest number one. -Your Mommy".

No, no, it's just something in our eyes, honest... (blub). How lovely though? And it was uploaded on her partner, Alexis OHanian's (he of Reddit-founding fame) birthday, too. This one is totally in love with life right now, isn't she?

And it seems Serena is not alone in sharing stuff with her as-yet-to-arrive nipper.

Here at MFM HQ, one of our mums revealed she wrote a song for her daughter when she was around 4 months pregnant and sang it to her in the bath every evening - then sang it again in the birthing pool as soon as her little girl was born, so it was the first thing the baby heard after birth.

That got us wondering if you mums out there had done something similar, too?
