Sports day photography stressful for parents!

Scientists find trying to capture child's photo-finish raises heart rate

It’s that time of year when mums and dads start to practice their three-legged technique, balancing an egg on a spoon and wake up in a cold sweat dreaming of winning the father’s race.

Yep, school sports days are looming all around the country, and what’s the best day ever for the children, can prove less enjoyable for parents!

Scientists have found that trying to get that perfect shot of your child crossing the finishing line at sports day is more stressful than any other form of family photography, reports the Telegraph.

A survey carried out by Mindlab looked at what summer situations people find the hardest to capture. The scientists found that parents trying to photograph a child’s sporting achievement at sports day showed more signs of stress than anyone else taking photos at weddings, birthday parties or graduation day.

At least it might take your mind off coming second in the parents’ sack race!
