You know what toddlers are like: look away for 1 second and they’ll be doing something they really shouldn’t. So imagine the grandmother of this toddler’s horror when she found him stuck in a claw machine!
Diane O’Neill was washing her clothes at the laundrette when her little grandson Colin Lambert went missing. Looking around for the 18-month-old, the US gran saw him climbing inside this claw machine!
Seeing that his feet were still hanging out of the door at the bottom of the machine, she tried to grab his legs, but he kicked and wiggled his way right inside.
“All I could see was his feet. He had already crawled in,” she told WBIR. “I grabbed his feet and he kicked my hand and got in. Climbed up over the glass partition and sat down in the toys.”
“My biggest fear was that he was going to climb back over and try to get back out,” she said. “The plastic they had that held the toys in is cracked and broken in several places. I was afraid he was going to try to climb over and get hurt.”
She quickly called the fire department in Maryville, Tennessee. Firefighters got the little boy out in a matter of minutes – and gave him one of the toys!
