Top 10 baby names of 2010 revealed
Oliver and Olivia are still the top baby names in England and Wales, according to stats released today by the Office of National Statistics (ONS). Both names stayed in the top slot for the third year running.
Despite celebrity baby names encouraging some parents to think outside the box for their newborns’ monikers, traditional names are still the most popular for both boys and girls.

The ONS report found that Jack was most popular in the North East and Sophie and Lily were favourites of parents in the South West and East of the UK.
Ruby was a firm favourite in Wales, perhaps thanks to a boost from Welsh celeb Charlotte Church, who’s little girl has the name.
New entries in the top 100 this year included Ollie, Bobby, Caleb, Jenson, Dexter and Kayden for boys and Annabelle, Eliza, Laila, Aisha, Maryam and Maisy for the girls.
