Arriving at the Covent Garden Hotel, MFM was greeted with warm drinks, yummy scones and then quickly whisked into a private screening room.

The lights dimmed, the music came on and MFM was taken on a journey into the world of the InnoTab.

What’s an InnoTab? Well here’s what you need to know about this super cool gadget…

The InnoTab is a touch-screen tablet learning system for children aged 4-9 years. It’s a device full of educational games, creative activities and e-books that your child can enjoy at home or on the go.

We couldn’t wait to get our hands on it and when we did, we were pleasantly surprised. It was light, had a rotating screen, amazing detailed animation and was so user-friendly that we couldn’t put it down.

You can unleash the artist in your child with the colouring book or art studio apps, where they can create works of art with none of the mess.

Encourage reading? Your child can read along to the colourfully illustrated books, or tap the words to learn how to pronounce them.

Let the game-master in your little one loose as they have hours of fun on apps like ‘Pinball Letters,’ which teaches letters and words as your child plays.

This battery-operated kids must-have comes with three free downloads and is ready to use straight from the box. All other apps have to be downloaded from the VTech website and cost £2.99 each.

If you’re worried your little one will be racking up a hefty bill with downloads, think again, as we’ve been told parental controls are currently being put in place to stop these kind of accidents.

Priced at £80, the tab is bound to be at the top of many kids wish-lists.

VTech has made this innovative technology look like, er, child’s play!
