Danish sperm bank Cryos has revealed that it no longer needs redheaded sperm donors because the demand isn't high enough. Due to an increase in sperm donations over the past few years, the world's largest international network of sperm banks has become more picky about its donors.

"There are too many redheads in relation to demand. I do not think you chose a redhead, unless the partner - for example, the sterile male - has red hair, or because the lone woman has a preference for redheads. And that's perhaps not so many, especially in the latter case," said Ole Schou, the director of Cryos, reports The Telegraph.

Couples struggling to conceive have been turning to Cryos Denmark since the number of men donating to British sperm banks fell by half. Sperm from donors with brown hair and brown eyes are particularly in demand, as Cryos sperm bank has many customers in Spain, Italy and Greece.
