Would you like to share your special mothering moments with the world as part of an innovative new film project?
This Mother’s Day, mums across Britain are being invited to post photos and video footage on Twitter for the chance to become part of the first user-generated movie for mothers.
The clips will then be used to create a cinematic montage looking at 24 hours in the life of a modern mum.
The film is the brainchild of Child Of Our Time director, Susie Donaldson, who will premier the finished article on Mothercare’s Facebook page on March 11.
Aiming to celebrate the diversity of Britain’s 20 million mums, the project was conceived after research showed 81% of mothers now own a smartphone, with 56% using it to share family news on social networks.
Susie Donaldson has commented, “I’ve always loved Mother’s Day – it’s not just a celebration of mothers in society but a reminder of how lucky you are to be a mum.
“That’s what this film is about; bringing mums together and cherishing those magical moments with our children, regardless of how old they are. By piecing it all together we can share real stories with our loved ones and the world.”
If you want to get involved, tweet your moments, photos and video footage with the hashtag #MothersDayMoments on Mothering Sunday, March 10.
