New mum and US actress Amber Tamblyn shares the, um, leaky side of being a nursing mother
We’ve seen plenty of breastfeeding selfies over the years.
But rarely do we see the aftermath captured so beautifully on camera: the milk stains, the leaky boobs, the wrecked T-shirt.
Enter US actress Amber Tamblyn (who you might know from The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants or Two And A Half Men).
The 33-year-old announced just weeks ago that she’d given birth to her 1st child, a baby girl, with husband David Cross.
(We’re pretty sure she was joking when she announced her daughter’s name as Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey jr ?)
And it seems the new mum was keen to share one of the least Instagram-friendly moments of motherhood with her 208k followers.

We’ve got to say that, in our eyes, Amber’s totally nailed it with this picture. It almost doesn’t need an explanation, because it is the explanation – you know?
It’s always great when those in the public eye aren’t afraid to ‘get real’ on social media, and Amber’s fans definitely seem to agree: there were countless comments in praise of her decision to post.
"Welcome to motherhood!” wrote one.
"Finally a celebrity to post something I can really f****** relate to: leaky boobs!"
Another joked: "We're with you, mama! I'm waiting for the next pic of spit-up down your shirt!”
While another fan summarised the mood of the pic with: "Ahhh milk life.? Where every item of clothing you wear has milk on it.”
