The Wriggle Wrapper folds around your baby like a nappy. Then you can attach the straps to a chair or around your waist (for feeding), or to a bed (for sleeping). It’s easy to change the fastenings to fit your baby and whatever you’re attaching them to.
In sleep mode it can be used from when your baby’s a newborn up to 24 months. In the sit mode is suitable from 6-24 months.
What we love
There’s a lot to love about the Phil and Teds Wriggle Wrapper! It’s lightweight, portable, compact and machine washable.
Perhaps its most attractive quality is the freedom it offers. Stashing a Wriggle Wrapper in your bag means you never have to worry about whether there’ll be a highchair at your destination, or a spare cot for your baby to sleep in.
We started using it as a travel highchair when our daughter Eve was 7months old and it was a great success, partly because she enjoyed sitting up and being part of the action at the ‘big’ table, not marooned in a highchair.
What to watch out for
If you’re using it as a highchair, be prepared for lots of mess at feeding time. You might want to pack an extra-long bib!
The Wriggle Wrapper can be a bit tricky to set up if you’re on your own - trying to attach the straps to a chair while you’re wrestling with a restless baby or active toddler requires another pair of hands. Also bear in mind that some styles of chair are easier to attach it to than others. Either way, don’t leave your child unattended.
Sleep mode is only suited to babies who sleep on their backs, so while it is brilliant for newborns you might feel like you’re strapping your toddler into a straightjacket - and they might agree!
We’ve never attached the Wriggle Wrapper to ourselves - if you’re on your own it seems like too much bother to go to.
