Infant (under 2)
- A baby travelling on a parent's lap receives a baggage allowance of 10kg. If you're travelling with your baby on your lap, you can carry one additional small baggage item in the cabin at no extra charge. This item must weigh less than 12kg and measure less than 21.6" x 9.8" x 13.7"
Buggies
- You can also transport a foldable stroller (maximum size 5.9" x 11.8" x 39.4") at no extra charge. This type of stroller may also be accepted in the cabin on long-haul flights, as long as enough space is available in the overhead compartments. Note: this excludes long-haul flights to Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Saint Martin, Cayenne, Réunion, Seychelles, Mauritius, Punta Cana, Havana, Santo Domingo
Carry-on luggage
- One x standard baggage (55cm x 35cm x 25cm) plus one accessory (handbag, notebook computer, camera, etc) for Voyageur/Economy flights
- For Premium Voyageur/Premium Economy/Alize/Affaires/Business Class/La Premiere/Premium Business/Premium Eco you can add one bag (45cm x 20 cm x 35cm) to the above allowance
Seating
- You do not have to pre-book seats to be seated next to your family
- You can request a skycot for infants weighing less than 10kg on medium-haul flights in the Affaires cabin and on long-haul flights in the Affaires, Alizé, Premium Voyageur and Voyageur cabins. Skycots are not available in the La Première cabin. It is not possible to request a skycot online. To make your request, contact Air France at least 24 hours before departure.
- Changing tables are also available on long-haul flights
- If you book a seat for your baby (child-fare), you can choose to use a car seat that conforms to official regulations for his/her comfort and safety
Feeding
- Staff are happy to heat up formula milk onboard
- There are no objections to breastfeeding during flights
- Liquids of under 100ml max per item are allowed (this is due to airport security measures)
- On flights of 2.5 hours or more, a special meal, including cookies and jars of baby food, is available for your baby. Remember to request the special meal when booking your trip or purchasing your ticket, or at least 24 hours before your departure time
Meals
- Children's meals must be booked in advance. Some meals are included in the price of the ticket but you need to check when you book
- On all flights with a duration of more than 2.5 hours, a meal adapted to the tastes and needs of your child is offered (bite-sized meat or fish for a simple, ready-to-eat meal). This meal is served to children 3-8 years of age. For children ages 9-11, please remember to request this option when booking or purchasing your ticket, at least 24 hours before departure
Entertainment
- On intercontinental flights, babies will receive a set of gifts - brightly coloured stuffed animals and toys
- On intercontinental flights, children will receive a set of gifts. These may include crayons, colouring books, games and more
- Children can also listen to music channels, play video games and watch cartoons or children's movies
- Children's items may also be purchased through the onboard boutique - think stuffed animals, inflatable airplanes, dolls and more
Pregnant travel
- You do not need medical clearance to fly with Air France. However, the airline recommends you seek your doctor's opinion before your trip
- Cancellation policies should be checked when booking, as well as taking note of what your travel insurance covers for each individual trip
