Annabel Karmel’s tasty beefburgers

Ingredients
- 1tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 Onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 400g Lean minced beef
- 1tbsp Parsley, chopped
- 1 Chicken stock cube, finely crumbled
- 1 Apple, peeled and grated
- 1 Egg, lightly beaten
- 50g Breadcrumbs
- 1tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper
- A little plain flour
- Butter or margarine and yeast extract for grilling
- Peas, tomatoes, cheese and cooked spaghetti for decoration
Method
- STEP 1
Sauté the onion in oil until soft. In a mixing bowl, combine the onion with all the ingredients, except the flour.
- STEP 2
With floured hands, form the mixture into 8 burgers. Dot with a little margarine and Marmite and grill for 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Alternatively, fry in a little hot oil for 3 minutes each side or until cooked through.
- STEP 3
Decorate with peas for eyes, cheese for noses and tomato slices for mouths. Arrange the spaghetti around burgers for hair.
