• 500g Lean minced beef
  • 2 Tins of chopped tomatoes
  • Dried mixed herbs
  • 1 Red onion, diced
  • 3-4 Lasagne Sheets
  • 1 Packet of cheese sauce
  • Low-fat grated cheese for the top


  • STEP 1

    Pre-heat oven to 180°C.

  • STEP 2

    Put mince, chopped onions and tinned tomatos in a pan.

  • STEP 3

    Cook until mince is fully cooked, keep emptying any water out of the pan as it boils.

  • STEP 4

    When mince is fully cooked, add dried herbs to taste (salt and pepper can be used but not suitable for young children).

  • STEP 5

    Heat the cheese sauce in a pan.

  • STEP 6

    Have a medium sized oven proof dish to hand and put half of the cooked mince in the bottom, spreading out equally.

  • STEP 7

    Cover with 1-2 sheet of dry pasta -pour over half of cheese sauce.

  • STEP 8

    Repeat above 3 steps.

  • STEP 9

    Top with grated cheese.

  • STEP 10

    Put in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the pasta sheets have cooked soft (check with skewer).
