Big and bright bedrooms

Kim Easton, 28, and partner Adam, 30, from Surrey, enjoyed their getaway at Letoonia Golf Resort Luxury Hotel with their two children, Daniel, 4, and Ella, 2.

“Arriving at Letoonia was luxury from the start, as we stepped into the air-conditioned lobby and porters unloaded our bags. The resort felt like a tropical paradise, with palms, flowers and fountains everywhere. It’s very family orientated, with a kids’ club and nightly family entertainment, so we knew we were all going to have a great time.

Chill out family time

On our first afternoon, I left Adam with the kids and headed for the spa where I went for the full Turkish experience of a body scrub and massage – divine. Later, I checked Daniel in at the mini club, a daily activity centre for kids aged 4 to 7, and Adam went to the resort’s golf driving range. With the boys sorted, Ella and I headed for the pool, which had an area cordoned off for tots. In the evening, we walked down to the beach and the water was still warm enough for paddling.

The all-inclusive deal we had really suited us as we could pick up bottles of water from the bar all day, as well as cocktails in the evening. The food was great, too, and the buffet included locally-caught fish, meat, salads, couscous and – thankfully for our fussy young man – chips, pizza and spaghetti.

Classical splendour

It was tempting to stay in the resort all week, but we decided to head out for a day to see a bit of Turkey. We visited the incredible classical site of Side, where we wandered through the Greek and Roman ruins, stopping at little shops and restaurants and finally arriving at the beach. It was great just soaking up the atmosphere and gathering more memories to take home.
